The
Blueprint

01The Challenge

Vox Learning's existing LMS treated every student identically — same content, same pace, same assessments. Completion rates hovered at 34%, instructors had no insight into individual learning gaps, and the platform couldn't scale beyond its monolithic Rails architecture. With 380 institutions requesting AI-powered personalisation and a competitor landscape rapidly adopting LLMs, Vox needed a complete platform reinvention.

02The Approach

We designed a Next.js frontend with an AI-powered adaptive learning engine that continuously adjusts content difficulty, format (video, text, interactive), and pacing based on individual student performance signals. The GPT-4 integration provides on-demand tutoring, automated essay feedback, and generates practice questions calibrated to each student's knowledge gaps. The backend, rebuilt as a suite of Python microservices, uses event-driven architecture for real-time analytics and supports 50K+ concurrent users. We built comprehensive instructor dashboards with cohort analytics, early warning systems for at-risk students, and automated curriculum mapping tools.
